Changes

400 boxes is a daunting task even for me.  Alex hired someone to come help me unpack on Monday as I am getting tired. My back has a new numb spot. Annoying. I suppose if it lasts more than 24-48 hours it's a relapse of sorts. I fear Optic Neuritis more than any symptom as I need my eyes to hear.

Yesterday, a big change - for the first time I roasted chick-peas (good for kidney/pre-diabetic peeps) till they were crunchy and added cajun. OMG, so good. Tomorrow I am baking flour-less, sugarfree oatmeal muffins.

Hmmm....I am liking this. Time to go to the nursery and find what I want to grow.

I have yet to hang pictures. I hate creating holes that go to waste so it's something I do last.

I found a lot of Nicole's clothes. I am thankful - enough to make a memory quilt whenever I can find someone to create one. And that takes money, of course. I wish I knew how to quilt but I don't. I envision some kind of crazy quilt - so many fabrics and yes I shall say it, crazy life.

Gini the daschie is slowly getting used to the back yard. She is not comfortable by herself in the big yard. Silly dog, I think...until I remember the last time she was in a fenced yard she was with her best friend.  Quill was his name - a golden retriever who loved his squeaky toys. I opened a box and there were all his toys in a wicker basket. I added Gini's. Gini sniffs around but will only play with her toys. She avoids Quill's.  Interesting...

The miller moth infestation is here - now don't fly into my hair!

400 boxes to unpack would have me velcroed to the carpet under the bed refusing to come out. I am amazed at your stamina and not surprised you need help. What a nice gesture of Alex to ensure that help was available.
Fingers crossed that you avoid the relapse. Sucky things they are.

The quilt is a wonderful idea! I'm going to pass that on to someone I know.

You are going to have to start a cooking blog soon! Those recipes sound great. :o)

400 boxes?! Don't unpack for 3 months and see what you eventually miss, find those things, and let the rest go. Thats my advice for the day!

Bless you....I also love the quilt idea.

Holy crap! That's a lot of boxes to review. I'd be fatigued even without MS. Glad you have help.

Campus Quilts makes extraordinary quilts. I had them make one out of Heather's Tshirts. They did a job beyond amazing. Check them out.

I like Mary's comment - it's true, so true, that this blog is a written memory quilt. And I can also see why you would want a quilt of Nicole's clothing - it would be touchable and holdable.

That's a lot of boxes :)
