Let me paint you a picture: mom is in the bathroom and I'm unloading stuff in the bed room. I do not have my cochlear implant processor on. FYI: an implanted ear cannot pick up sound whatsoever without the processor on.
I put my grandmother's pink gold watch on and went downstairs to show mom.
Mom is in the bathroom so I keep unpacking. I hear "Sherry? Sherry?" in a soft but very clear voice in my implanted ear. I knew it was impossible immediately but somehow I had heard mom call me from the bathroom.
The bathroom door was locked. I found Nicole's nifty hammer (screwdrivers are inside hammer) and unscrewed the glasses screwdriver. Just as I start to work the door, Mom opened it.
I asked what was going on and she wanted to know the same thing. I was trying to break into the bathroom while she was using it.
I tell mom I heard "Sherry? Sherry?" and thought she needed help. My heartrate had increased. Freaking out was a distinct possibility, I didn't know if she was okay. She said it wasn't her and there's nobody else in the house.
Uh-oh. Who called my name, twice?
Nicole didn't call me "Sherry" but it was a female voice. When I saw the watch I realized it was my grandmother's voice, and she's dead. Ohhhh... and I was standing right next to the dead people's table. Mom and I laugh when we say that. Gallows humor helps.
I feel stupid saying I heard my grandmother's voice while wearing her watch but I did.
I'm going to be sorry I published this (yes it is crazy) but it's true. I don't know what to think.

Sherry, I believe what you said -- it's happened to me. I've heard such voices, and I do believe a spirit world exists.
Peace,
Muff
Even though I don't believe in spirits, I have heard those voices too. I look on it as a memory that gets stirred up in the chemicals in my brain :)
I have more than once had such experiences. I believe you. I do hear my Grandmother E. sort of a whisper but the sound is real . ...
I believe that your heard your Grandmother's voice. Hopefully next time she will actually say something meaningful now that she's gotten your attention,
Perhaps her frame needs to be dusted.
There are too many things I don't know for me to disbelieve you. I hope it gives you comfort.
I really don't know what to think. If it happens again I'll call TAPS! LOL!
I'm afraid of people calling me from the spirit world. Luckily, it has never happened to me so far...
Well Lou - it scared me to death to be honest...until I figured out who it was.
I find it odd that I had no innate knowledge that it WAS her - I am attributing the voice to her simply because I had her watch on and she always said, "Sherry? Sherry?" or "Sherry!!! Sherry!!!" LOL...
I expect it probably was your gramma. I've heard voices of my dead relatives too.
Blessings....
Ah but she was there, t'is the reason you picked up the watch in the first place. Its here way of letting you know she's watching out for yah.
take care....
stay blessed.

I believe in these sorts of paranormal experiences. The spirit world is all around us. Maybe as fields of energy. Hard to know, but I believe that there is something to ponder about this.
